About

Hi! I’m Gee (or Georgia, if ya really wanna be formal). I’m sixteen, and I live in the UK, and I like dying my hair bright pink (that’s an important fact ok). I’ve been running this book blog since 2011.

I love books and comics and music and tea. I blog about the first two. I mainly read YA, but occasionally I’ll dip into middle grade & adult fiction (along with comics and graphic novels).

I’m currently in sixth form, where I’m studying English Literature, Media Studies, Sociology and Photography. I read and review books in my spare time, and aim to post weekly.

I started blogging because I had nowhere to write/talk about books at eleven; it’s still my favourite way to discuss and share opinions on books. I also started blogging because I wanted a way to gain insight into the publishing industry, which I hope to work in when I’m older. I review for publishing companies and I’m also a LoveReading4Kids review panel member.

Come say hi on any social media!

Blog information:

This blog was originally called Books and Writers JNR, as it started out as a YA reviews version of Books and Writers, my dad’s old blog. The name was changed to The Bibliomaniac in February 2014, and I finally switched to this current domain name at the end of 2015.

If any content from my blog is found in another place on the internet without my knowledge or permission, the person responsible will be contacted directly and asked to remove the content. If there is a further issue I will look into further action.

If you wish to use an idea that I have in a blog feature, such as a review-graphic, I do not mind at all so long as you ask permission to and/or credit me. If any content is directly taken without permission, I will take the same action as stated above for stolen review content.

  1. Hi Georgia, I can’t believe you’re writing a blog at 13, that’s amazing! Blogging wasn’t even on my radar at that age so I think it’s wonderful that you’ve gotten into it.

I too feel reviewing books honestly is very important, even if that means giving a negative rating.

    Happy blogging. 😀

    1. Hi Becky,

haha, thanks! I found at about blogging from my dad, sp I love him for that 🙂 I don’t think I am the youngest, though, as I know one girl who has been blogging since she was seven! 🙂 thank you for the nice comment and for liking some blog posts!

  2. Hi, Georgia! My name is Aya, and I am a fellow book blogger. I was wondering if you’d be interested in participating in a small project that I am doing. I wanted to ask a bunch of bloggers (49, to be exact :p), to give me one of their favorite book quotes. I’m going to compile them all in one post and then post it on my blog on the 22nd of this month. It’d be fantastic if you would be a part of this. Just let me know by this Sunday, please, so that I have plenty of time to compile and/or ask someone else. Thank you!
P.S. You are the 50th blogger to be asked! So don’t say no xD
